Garden Ridgeways Residents Association (GARRA) was formed and registered in 2001. The main objective was curbing insecurity within the area but with time, other needs arose which Include: water, power, controlling development, environmental pollution control, roads and infrastructure.
The association is registered with the registrar of societies and operates within the set rules and procedure. Main income is generated from members’ contribution/ subscriptions. All monies collected are receipted and accounted for where an independent Auditor audits the accounts and gives a financial report. Membership is Renewable on an annual basis where individual households subscribe at Kshs 10,000 per year. Small and medium household clusters 0f between 3-10 households subscribe at ksh 30,000 where Corporate members (over 10 households) subscribe for Kshs 60,000.
